I Went to see the Dr. for some X rays and examination and the Staff is very friendly , the dental higeneist is very detailied in explaining on the needs of my gums and teeth, the X ray technician also very professional the Dr. is excellent in explaining on what I need to do.

Dr. Patrick Whilby is the founder, owner, and lead dentist at Dr. Big Smilez. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University Dental School in 2015, where he was a Dean’s List member and received the Periodontic Excellence Award. He completed a General Practice Residency at Christiana Care in Wilmington, Delaware, gaining advanced hands-on training in implant restorations, molar endodontics, fixed prosthodontics, and CBCT technology.
Dr. Whilby opened Dr. Big Smilez in 2019 with a mission to enrich lives through affordable care. His approach is patient-first, clear, and compassionate, with a focus on helping every patient feel heard, respected, and well cared for.
Financial barriers shouldn’t block quality dental care. Dr. Big Smilez accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most major PPO plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, and UHC. Out-of-network patients are also welcome.
